Holds two sessions a week.
You may make an appointment with her for dressings, removal of sutures, injections, immunisations etc although you may need to see a doctor before certain procedures can be performed. She also gives health checks to all new patients and those attending health promotion clinics.
The practice manager co-ordinates the administration of the practice and is available to answer any questions you may have about the practice.
The receptionists have all been trained and many of them are very experienced. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence. If you are unsure whether to consult your doctor, nurse or health visitor etc, the receptionist will be able to advise you. If you are in doubt about anything, ask the receptionist. If she does not know the answer she will ask someone who does. Please help them to help you.
The district nursing team attached to the practice offer expert nursing care in the home. This includes assessment of your needs, co-ordinating care to fulfil those needs, advice and support on any matter of concern to patients and their carers. They take referrals from hospitals, GPs and other agencies.
Our health visitor is a trained nurse who has undertaken further training to provide the preventive child health services to children between the ages of birth to five years old. She will home visit mainly by appointment.
